Located in the heart of Downtown San Jose at 1202 E Santa Clara St, Lahori Restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it is a culinary bridge to the streets of Lahore. We founded this kitchen with a simple mission: to serve the San Jose State University (SJSU) community and local families the same bold, unfiltered flavors found in the food capitals of Pakistan.
Unlike fast-food chains, our kitchen starts early. We marinate our meats for 24 hours, grind our spices daily, and fire up our Tandoors to 500°F to ensure every Seekh Kabab and Naan has that signature char. Whether you are grabbing a quick lunch near City Hall or hosting a dinner near Roosevelt Park, we promise an authentic experience.
At Lahori Restaurant, we believe that great food cannot be rushed. Our culinary philosophy is rooted in the “Dhaba” tradition of North India and Pakistan. This means slow-simmering our Goat Nehari overnight to dissolve the collagen and infuse the broth with deep spice notes.
Our kitchen team specializes in the art of the Karahi—cooking bone-in meats in heavy iron woks over high flames to lock in moisture. From the fragrant saffron in our Biryani to the fresh ginger garnishes, every ingredient is selected to deliver the maximum impact on your palate.
We invite our neighbors from Japantown, Naglee Park, and the San Jose Business District to taste the difference that patience and passion make.
Quote/Callout: “Authentic taste isn’t just about ingredients; it’s about the technique. That is the Lahori promise.”
